- Main centres are the areas within a 50km radius around each of the following cities: Bloemfontein; Durban; East London; George; Johannesburg; Kimberley; Nelspruit; Pretoria; Pietermaritzburg; Polokwane; Port Elizabeth and Richards Bay.
- Any area outside of the 50km radius from a main centre is considered a regional area.

- Hinterland shall not be liable for any delay in delivery of an item purchased where such delay is due to circumstances outside the control of Hinterland.
Click & Collect (Direct Store Collection)
- If a client wishes to collect any item purchased from a designated Hinterland store (with the purchased item in stock), the store selected must be indicated during the “checkout” of the item/s purchased.
- Such purchases will be ready for collection within 4 hours, if the purchase is made between 07h00 and 13h00 on a business day. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays, Saturdays and Sundays
- Purchases made after 13h00 on a business day, or made during a non- business day, shall be ready for collection by 09h00 on the next business day.
- Items to be collected in terms of a Direct Store Collections purchase may only be collected during business hours being 08h00 – 17h00 on Monday to Friday, and 08h00 -13h00 on Saturdays, but excluding public holidays.
- An email will be forwarded to the client to confirm the purchase is ready for collection.
- There is no charge for click and collect.
- Once a client has been notified by email that their Click & Collect purchase is ready for collection, the client must collect the goods within 10 (ten) calendar days from the date of such notification ("the Collection Period").
- If goods remain uncollected after 5 (five) calendar days from the date of the ready-for-collection notification, Hinterland shall contact the client by telephone or email to remind the client of the outstanding collection and the remaining time within the Collection Period.
- Should the client require additional time to collect the goods, the client may request an extension of the Collection Period by making specific arrangements in advance, either with the Hinterland online team or with the branch at which the goods are held for collection. Any such extension must be agreed upon in writing (including by email or electronic communication) before the expiry of the original Collection Period. No extension shall be assumed or implied in the absence of such written confirmation.
- If the client fails to collect the goods within the Collection Period, or within any agreed extended period as contemplated in clause 4.3, Hinterland reserves the right to return the uncollected goods to stock. In such event, Hinterland shall log a return on behalf of the client in respect of all uncollected goods and shall issue the client an online store credit voucher equal to the full purchase price paid for the uncollected goods, less any reasonable handling or storage charges incurred.
- The online store credit voucher issued in terms of clause 4.4 shall be valid for a period of 12 (twelve) months from the date of issue and may be redeemed against any future purchase on the Hinterland website.
- No cash refund shall be payable in respect of uncollected goods where the client has failed to collect within the Collection Period, or any agreed extension thereof, as set out in clauses 4.1 and 4.3 above.
- For the avoidance of doubt, the collection period set out in this clause applies only to goods purchased via the Click & Collect method. It does not affect any rights the client may have under the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008, in respect of defective or non-conforming goods.
